Visiting Instructor, Dance
Eric Nordstrom is a dance performer, choreographer, filmmaker, and teacher living in Portland, OR. He has taught at The Ohio State University, Kenyon College, the University of Oregon, Portland State University, Conduit Dance, and the Seattle Festival of Dance Improvisation.
As a specialist in contact improvisation and contemporary dance, Eric has performed with Karen Nelson, Keith V. Goodman, and was a core company member of Oslund + Company. As a director and editor, his films feature prominent artist and scholars such as Kent De Spain and Ann Cooper Albright. Additionally, he has provided video production for Portland Opera, Tere Mathern Dance, and Portland Taiko. He is a recipient of professional development grants through the RACC and various artistic residencies. He studied with filmmaker Mitchell Rose and choreographer Bebe Miller at The Ohio State University, where he earned his MFA in Dance.
