PSY 105-01 - Perspectives in Film: Stanley Kubrick

Content: An introduction to the films of Stanley Kubrick. We will view 12 of Kubrick’s 13 feature films: Killer’s Kiss, The Killing, Paths of Glory, Spartacus, Lolita, Dr. Strangelove, 2001: A Space Odyssey, Clockwork Orange, Barry Lyndon, The Shining, Full Metal Jacket, and Eyes Wide Shut. Supplemental videos will present some of Kubrick’s biography and working practices. Readings will include film criticism, biography, and interviews. (May not be applied toward a major in Psychology.)
Prerequisite: None.
Semester Credits: 4
