Shively, Mr. J. Mack

Mack Shively is an AV rated attorney with an office in Portland, Oregon. After 6 years of private practice ending in a large Portland law firm, Mack served as Assistant General Counsel of Portland General Electric Company, Oregon’s largest electric utility, for 19 years. During his tenure at PGE Mack served as the Secretary to the Human Resources and Compensation Committee of the Board of Directors, and acted as counsel in for PGE and its affiliated companies in matters of federal and state taxation, bankruptcy, SEC compliance, ERISA, compensation, human resources, internal investigations, financings, power purchases and sales, and power facility development and construction. Mack recently returned to private practice and represents corporate, utility and energy clients, as well as individuals in business, taxation, estate planning and ERISA matters. Before law school he earned a BA and MA in English from Washington State University. Mack is a 1979 graduate of Lewis & Clark Law School and holds a Master of Laws in Taxation from New York University. He is an Advisor to the Tax Department, sits on the Board of Visitors of Lewis & Clark Law School and is a Black Belt in the International Okinawa Goju-ryu Karate Federation.
