SOAN 290 - SOAN Internship
Taught by: Bruce Podobnik
Content: Course provides a context within which students engage in supervised internships for departmental credit. Students are placed in a variety of social service, education, environmental, and advocacy organizations in Portland, where they engage in field research and professional development. Participatory action research and other approaches to engaged pedagogy are explored in readings, class discussions, and writing assignments.
Prerequisites: SOAN 100 or SOAN 110; or consent of instructor
Semester Credits: 4
Meeting Times: MTWTh 5:30-7:30 p.m.
