Chemistry students and faculty attend national conference

Student attend chemistry conference

Nine Lewis & Clark College students attended the 251st National Meeting of the American Chemical Society in San Diego from March 13-15.  Each presented a poster on their undergraduate research work, collectively spanning from the summer of 2014 to current thesis research. The meeting presented the first opportunity for current chemistry and BCMB majors to showcase their work to an international audience of ~16,000 academic and industrial chemists. Several Lewis & Clark chemistry alumni were in attendance, and there was a brief reunion on Monday morning. The students’ travel was supported by funds from the ACS Division of Inorganic Chemistry, SAAB, the Miller grant, and the College.
