Student Health & Counseling Services Update: Hours for the Summer

Hours for Student Health and Counseling Services
The Student Health Service is closed for the summer and will reopen during new student orientation in the fall.  During the summer break, students needing health care consultation may contact our nursing consultation service at 1-800-607-5501, or seek care off-campus.  A list of urgent care clinics and hospitals is available at go.lclark.edu/portlandhealthcare

We know that some of our summer school students in residence who need medical care off-campus have challenges accessing that care.  For summer school students in residence who cannot access off-campus medical appointments by vehicle or through TriMet/Pioneer Express (e.g., some of our AES students come to mind), Campus Living has again agreed to support students in accessing taxi transportation, and they will also pay for the costs.  Students who are interested in this option should first contact their RA to discuss options.
Beginning May 9 and continuing through August 4, the Counseling Service will be open most days with very limited staffing.  Assessment and referral services for summer school students will be available by appointment.  Some limited counseling services will be available.  Students in crisis may access 24-hour help at any time via the Lewis & Clark Crisis Counseling Service at 503-265-7804 or the National Hopeline at 1-800-273-TALK.
