SENIORS: Commencement Survey

Should Commencement 2016 be held on campus or in a larger off-campus venue?

Seniors,

Welcome back to campus! All of us at ASLC hope that you enjoyed summer break and are as excited for the upcoming year as we are.

Currently, the College of Arts & Sciences is considering changes to this year’s Commencement ceremony. Commencement for the Class of 2015 was a success with an audience of nearly 4,000, surpassing Griswold Stadium’s capacity of 3,500. While such a great turnout is welcome, poor weather conditions or large graduating classes makes seating especially difficult and forces the school to limit the number of guests each student may have. Because of this, alternate venues are being considered for this year’s ceremony to be more accommodating. Anna Gonzalez, the Dean of Students, wants to hear your opinion: should Commencement 2016 be held on campus or in a larger off-campus venue.

Thank you for taking the time to complete our survey, please feel free to reach out to ASLC at any time.
