The graduating class conferred the 2014 Leo Levenson Award for Excellence in Teaching on Assistant Professor of Law Jim Oleske.
“There’s nothing more rewarding as a teacher than receiving positive feedback from students, and I can’t tell you how privileged I feel to receive this honor from the Class of 2014,” said Oleske. “This remarkable class was my first at Lewis & Clark, and over the past three years, they have taught me a great deal through countless conversations, both inside and outside the classroom. Just as they have enriched life here at the law school, I know these graduates will be making enormous contributions to communities across the country throughout their careers.”
Jordan Schoonover ’14 presented the award on behalf of his class. “Professor Oleske’s work ethic, sense of humor, and commitment to helping students succeed make him an outstanding teacher,” said Schoonover. “I know that it meant a lot to him to receive this award, and it was an honor for me to present it to him.”
