Music students at Lewis & Clark are singers and pianists, harpists and drummers, theorists and performers, Wagner buffs, jazz musicians, and world music devotees. Add our faculty members—a dynamic group of active performers, composers, and musicologists—and you have a robust, wide-ranging program devoted to the creation, appreciation, and advancement of music in all its forms.

In this video, three professors—Katherine FitzGibbon, Jeff Leonard, and Susan DeWitt Smith—offer an introduction to the department and share some of the ways our faculty and students contribute to our exciting campus community and the thriving music culture in Portland and beyond.
