Russian Fairy Tales - Russian 290 - Fall-14

This course introduces students to Russian fairy tales and their influence on Russian literature, painting, music, opera, ballet, posters and film. The course provides students with cultural background and basic critical methodology in the study of fairy tales and their literary, visual and cinematic adaptations.


This course fulfills the International Studies Requirement, counts toward the Russian minor and Foreign Languages major (if Russian is one of your languages).


This course is taught in English and has no prerequisites.
