On the Job

Opportunities abound for students to gain professional experience.

Our students draw on rich academic and professional experiences as they prepare for successful careers. Opportunities take many shapes here: from full-time research assistantships in the Rogers Summer Science Program to work-study positions and internships on and off campus.

The experience of Marisol Jenkins ’15, a psychology major from California, shows just how varied the possibilities are. In addition to gaining valuable training through her work-study position in the Office of Conferences and Events, Marisol developed entrepreneurial skills during Winterim 2013 and gained strengthened leadership abilities as a member of the planning committee for the 2012 Ray Warren Multicultural Symposium.
