Students sponsor logo contest for new business
Last month Lewis & Clark students and recent alumni were invited to share their ideas for an innovative nonprofit organization, social venture, or for-profit enterprise in a new entrepreneurship competition.
Five students, Daniel Shaver, Greg Soto, Henry Schmidt, Devin Owens, and Kevin Cassidy with their idea for Arbella Brewing Company, were selected as one of the 11 teams in L&C’s first new entrepreneurship competition.
They are holding a Facebook event to find a new logo complete with a $100 prize, for their promising new business. Join the fun, whether you are an art major, graphic designer, beer lover, or just want to learn about the business ideas of students participating in the new Entrepreneurship Center at the college that will serve as a hub of innovation and collaboration for our entire community.
CONTEST RULES: Participants must be Lewis & Clark students or alumni. You may submit as many different designs as you want. Send a picture or scan of the artwork to ARBELLABREWING@GMAIL.COM before FRIDAY, APRIL 5th. Complete rules can be found on the FB site.
Part of the mission for this craft microbrewery it to serve the Portland community through student engagement, academic collaboration, alcohol education, and connections with the surrounding community. Their first effort is to engage Lewis and Clark students and alumni to participate in their logo competition.
Alumni is located in Alumni Gatehouse on the Undergraduate Campus.
