Women’s basketball moves up to sixth in nation

 Ranked sixth in the nation, the Lewis & Clark women’s basketball team has clinched a berth in the Northwest Conference Tournament. After splitting weekend games at Whitworth and Whitman, the Pioneers stood at 19-2 overall, and 10-2 in Northwest Conference action.

Ranked sixth in the nation, the Lewis & Clark women’s basketball team has clinched a berth in the Northwest Conference Tournament. After splitting weekend games at Whitworth and Whitman, the Pioneers stood at 19-2 overall, and 10-2 in Northwest Conference action.

Lewis & Clark ended George Fox’s 43-game home winning streak with a 64-59 win on January 25, marking the first time the Pioneers have defeated the Bruins in the Wheeler Sports Center under head coach Juli Fulks. Thanks in part to her key role in the game, Kristina Williams ’13 was named the Northwest Conference Women’s Basketball Player of the Week

The Pioneers return to action February 8 with a game at Puget Sound, before returning home to Pamplin Sports Center to play Willamette the following night.
