Alumni Leadership Scholarship

December 12, 2012

The Alumni Leadership Scholarship is a merit-based scholarship that will recognize and reward outstanding students who have demonstrated leadership, actively participated in the Lewis & Clark community, and who have interest in creating meaningful connections between students and alumni. 6-12 scholarships in the amount of $1,000 each will be awarded for academic year 2013-2014.

Application Process:The application asks for basic information and answers to three essay prompts. Essays can be as long or as short as you would like, as long as you think you have answered the prompt. Applications will be reviewed by a committee of Board of Alumni members. Top applicants will be invited for a brief interview with the committee on February 23.

Eligibility: You must be in good academic standing. First-year, sophomore, and junior students are eligible. If you have senior standing, but intend to enroll in courses at Lewis & Clark for two more semesters (not counting the current one), you are eligible. If you are going to be studying abroad for both fall 2013 and spring 2014 and are awarded the scholarship this year, your scholarship will be applied to your account the first semester that you are back on campus. Please see more about overseas/off-campus program participation below.

Deadline: Wednesday, January 30, 2013 by 5 p.m. You can submit it via email to, via mail to MSC 77, or in person to the Alumni Gatehouse Monday through Friday between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m.
