Meeting with Matt Nelson (’08) and other alumns

Far Eastern University, Vladivostok, Russia

Matt Nelson (’08) extended his Fulbright  assistantship  in Russia for another academic year. He will be teaching English at the Far Eastern University in Vladivostok. During his short summer break Matt came to visit Portland and met with some past and present students of Russian. See a photo of their little reunion (from left to right” – Stephanie Locke, Prof. Osipovich, Matt Nelson, Hongda Jiang, Jessica Huston, Luke Rodeheffer, Anna Rodgers). The group not only celebrated Matt’s new Fulbright assignment but also Anna Rodgers’s upcoming departure for the Peace Corps assignment in Kazakhstan. Also Hongda Jiang (’08) just recently returned from Moscow (Russia) where he worked as a client manager at Alinga Consulting Group.  He is getting ready to go to China and has applied for international MBA programs with a strong Russia component!
