Interested in being a leader for one of the new student trips, Sustainable or Urban Action?
Urban Action focuses on issues of homelessness and hunger in Portland and will highlight some of the community-based solutions that exist through volunteering with various organizations. Sustainable Action focuses on issues of sustainable food systems in and around Portland, and explores environmental stewardship and local economic development through working with urban farms, local businesses, and nonprofits.
As a leader, you will have the unique opportunity to work with 3CE staff to decide on the specific details, visions, and goals of the trips. Being a leader entails the following: doing research and reaching out to organizations you envision volunteering with during the summer, attending a trip leader orientation before the trip, and providing support and logistic help to participants during the trip.
If you are interested in being a leader for either of these new student trips, please fill out an application (available on the 3CE website) and drop it by 3CE by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, April 26th. We will hold interviews the week of April 29th.
