Pio Speakers Get a Taste of the Big Time

First-year students Mara Hanawalt, Tyler Janzen, and Ben Mann qualified for the American Forensics Association’s National Individual Events Tournament. The tournament requires that students either demonstrate excellence at three tournaments during the year or finish in the top two at a district qualifying tournament.

In addition to Hanawalt, Janzen, and Mann, Junior Ell Olson also qualified for the tournament in four events, but could not attend because she is studying in Morocco.

Having competed against the best of the best, next year should be exciting for these young speakers!
