Heather Paulson leads Strategy\, Partnerships\, and A nalytics for NIKE North America. Her team works with the North America ex ecutive team to define and execute the strategic growth agenda and to dev elop advanced analytic data products to solve consumer needs. Heather has spent over 10 years in law\, investing\, finance\, and strategy. After g raduating from Cornell and Harvard Law School\, Heather spent a year as a Harvard Law School Fellow exploring whether prenuptial agreements should be mandatory (they should!). After deciding that the professor life was not for her\, she spent three years as an antitrust attorney at Wachtell\ , Lipton\, Rosen\, &\; Katz in New York. From there\, Heather became a n investor at a $16B hedge fund – TPG-Axon. In 2007\, she moved to Oreg on and has been at Nike for over 8 years. Her first role was in Global Bu siness Planning where she helped set the 3-year and 1-year budget and led performance management for the CFO. Three years later\, she moved to lea d the Corporate Development function where she helped to divest of Cole H aan and Umbro. Most recently\, she co-led Corporate Strategy &\; Devel opment for three years\, working with the CEO to develop the long-term st rategic plan\, lead projects against critical strategic initiatives\, and partner with Sports Marketing to re-sign the NFL and acquire the NBA lic ense. Outside of work\, Heather is on the board of Social Venture Partner s where she is focused on improving Kindergarten Readiness for Portland's most at-risk populations.
