The film adaptation of the massively popular Kathryn Stockett book, “The Help” is about a young white woman, Eugenia “Skeeter” Phelan, and her relationship with several black maids in segregated Mississippi during the emergence of the Civil Rights Movement in America.  The Help tops the US box office but also has created controversy and difficult debates amongst the story’s readers and film-goers.
