Join us for the 4th Oregon Archives Crawl this October in celebration of Oregon Archives Month. Travel between the Portland Archives and Records Center, the Multnomah County Central Library and the Oregon Historical Society. At each location there will be a variety of activities to choose from so you might want to start early.

Watzek Library’s Special Collections and Archives will be representing along with eight other organizations (find the full list below). Special Collections staff will present on the library’s Civilian Public Service and Pacifism Collections at 11:15 a.m.

At the Portland Archives and Records Center, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Get a behind the scenes look at sampling of the many collections found in the City’s archives
  • Listen to speakers talk about local historical records
  • Meet the archivists who manage some of the most exciting historical collections in Oregon, and view a selection of those materials up close
  • Enter your name in door prizes donated from the organizations onsite, drawn every 15-30 minutes throughout the event.  (You must be present to win, but we’re drawing often so that shouldn’t be a problem! One prize per person.)
