Kasi Allen is a professor in the Graduate School of Education & Counseling at Lewis & Clark. She is the advisor and lead faculty member for all master’s students preparing to become math teachers at the middle school and high school level.
Come join us for some mathematical problem solving and related discussion as Kasi sheds light on the current landscape of mathematics education in grades 6-12. Participants will have the opportunity to experiment with innovative teaching tools and consider some of the latest issues in mathematics education.
This will also be a time to learn about the various pathways to becoming a secondary math teacher for those who are interested.
