The Portland Chamber Orchestra starts its 2014/15 season with a very musically diverse all strings program entitled “Strings Attached” featuring Pianist Chad Heltzel and Percussionist Brett EE Paschal (Director of Bands and Percussion Studies at Lewis & Clark). Works range from Baroque to modern and features brilliant and accomplished soloists. This concert introduces an exciting collaboration between the musicians of the Portland Chamber Orchestra and the instrumental music students of the Evergreen School District in Camas, Washington.

Pianist and conductor Chad Heltzel continues to enthrall audiences with the intensity and passion of his artistry. Based in Montreal, Quebec, Heltzel leads an active career throughout Canada and abroad. A graduate of l’Université de Montréal, Heltzel obtained his doctorate in piano performance under the tutelage of Marc Durand.
Brett EE Paschal
Paschal is an active soloist, composer, chamber musician, and contemporary music practitioner. He has performed with numerous symphonic orchestras throughout the United States, including the Oregon Symphony and Portland Baroque Orchestra. He is currently Principal Timpanist with the PCO.
