Eujeong Zhang is Associate Professor at Dankook University, South Korea. She received her PhD in Korean Literature from Seoul National University, with a focus on Korean popular music during the Japanese colonial period. Her books include “Brother is a Street Musician-The Modern Era in Popular Songs”(Seoul: Minumin, 2006), “Tea room & Café, the Agit of Modern boys”(Seoul: Sallim, 2008), “The Continuation and Alteration of Korean Modern Popular Songs”(Seoul: Somyong, 2012), “The Media and Culture of Korean Modern Popular Songs”(Seoul: Somyong, 2012). Dr. Zhang is also a recording artist who released an album, “ZHANG Eujeong Sings Modern Jo-Sun: Korean Jazz Songs in the 1930s” (Shinnara, 2013)
