Every year the Dinah Dodds Endowment funds the projects of students participating on Lewis & Clark overseas programs. The endowment seeks to support students with innovative projects or research ideas that complement or enhance their overseas program. Students of art, biology, history, political science (and more!) have used the grant to fund research that has broadened their perspectives on their program country, has been used as a starting point for their senior thesis, and in many cases has left a lasting impact on the group or community they worked with beyond their time in-country.

We welcome the Lewis & Clark community to join us for refreshments and presentations by the 2015-2016 recipients of the Dinah Dodds Endowment. In addition to celebrating the successes of these scholars, we hope this event will spark ideas for future overseas participants to fully engage with their programs through thoughtful research, intentional engagement with the local community, and encourage them to share their knowledge and discoveries with the LC community.

Visit our website to learn more about the Dinah Dodds Endowment and to see some examples of how LC students have chosen to expand their study abroad experience by developing creative and thoughtful ways to engage with their overseas studies, and how they were able to bring their research back to the LC community.
