Alumni of all ages are invited to celebrate Valentine’s Day with their alma mater in this special event. The event includes a wine bar and lunch, live classical guitar music, and a talk by special guest Rev. Melinda Smith entitled “Love Stories.”

About the Speaker
Rev. Melinda Smith is an ordained Presbyterian minister and is a Hospice Chaplain for Serenity Palliative Care & Hospice here in Portland. Melinda did her undergraduate degree at Mt. Holyoke College in South Hadley, Massachusetts and her Master of Divinity Degree at Harvard Divinity School. She moved to Portland in 1989 with her husband Mark Duntley (who is Dean of Religious and Spiritual Life here at Lewis & Clark), and she served as a small-church pastor, a social service professional, and a hospital chaplain before becoming a hospice chaplain. Melinda and Mark have two daughters, Sophie (20 and a junior in college) and Leila (16 and a junior in high school).
