Susan Hubbuch of The Writing Center will do a presentation for upperclass students who will be writing a long paper next year to complete major requirements; this long paper may be a thesis, a seminar paper, or part of a senior project.  The purpose of this presentation is to offer practical tips and strategies for preparing oneself NOW to do the paper, so that the process is a positive learning experience and the final product is a paper one can be proud of.

 Topics to be covered:

  •  What to expect the experience to be like, and coping with the intimidation factor;
  • What you can do BEFORE September;
  • Topics, theories, & consultations with your faculty advisor(s);
  • Getting organized;
  • Other issues and concerns you have.

WHEN? Friday, April 9, 3:15 p.m. (plan an hour or so)
