Early Childhood Development Project

imageWelcome to the Early Childhood Development Project (ECDP) at Lewis & Clark College

We are dedicated to the study of the development of infants and young children.  Specifically, most of our research studies investigate the changes that take place in children’s understanding of other people.  We seek to answer the question, what do infants and young children know about the thoughts, feelings and behaviors of other people?

The director of the ECDP is Dr. Jennifer LaBounty, a developmental psychologist and Assistant Professor in the Psychology Department at Lewis and Clark College.

Our research is only possible with the support of our families!  We know how busy the families of young children can be, and we appreciate the time that parents and children spend with us. Thank you!

Learn more about our current research projects, the people behind the project, our publications and what’s involved in participating. Please let us know if you are interested in participating.

During Summer 2012 we are open M-F 8:30 AM to 12:00 PM
