Senior Gift is an opportunity for graduating seniors to give back to the Lewis & Clark community and support the education of current and future students.
Philanthropy is a long-standing tradition at Lewis & Clark and this is our first act as alumni of the college. This year, the Senior Gift will be going to the Annual Fund because that way, our gifts will be used in areas that it’s needed most.
What is the Annual Fund?
Since tuition covers only about 75% of the cost of education at Lewis & Clark, the college depends partly on the Annual Fund to cover the gap and support L&C’s most critical needs to:
- Fund Scholarships.
- Retain and recruit superb faculty.
- Sustain innovative academic and community enrichment programs.
Best of all, you may designate your Annual Fund gift to an area that is most important to you, such as financial aid, a specific academic department, a sports team, or the overseas program.
Additionally, you can make your gift in honor of a professor, staff member or parent. They will receive a note indicating that you gave in their honor; this is a great gesture to thank them and show your appreciation for their support during your time here at L&C.
For more information about the Annual Fund, see the Annual Fund FAQs.
Why is participation important?
- High alumni participation rates attract large grants from outside foundations.
- The higher alumni participation is, the higher Lewis & Clark climbs in national rankings.
