Mind the Gap

What is Mind the Gap?
This is the day when we acknowledge the fact that tuition dollars “run out” and donors step up to fill the gap. We can explain:
Tuition only covers about 75% of the cost of your education. Tuition could be $50,000 but because alumni, parents, foundations, and friends are helping fill the gap you pay much less each year. Last year over 4,000 alumni made a gift to support your education. These gifts help support every student, professor, program, and department on campus.
This special day celebrates the generous donors who give money to the College to help make your education possible.
In the 2011 Mind the Gap video Chris MacLeod ‘11 explains more about this event:

When is it?
Mind the Gap will take place on Wednesday, March 7th, 2012. Visit our tables in front of Field Dining Room and Howard Hall from 10am-2pm. Look for the orange and black balloons!
What’s going on that day?
We will be giving away FREE Sesame Donuts and asking students, staff, and faculty to write a thank you note to LC donors. This is your chance to say a little “thank you” to the donors who support your LC experience while enjoying a sweet treat. Last year, we collected 770 thank you notes during Mind the Gap. We hope you will join us again this year!
