“The Country’s in the Very Best of Hands”: A musical revue about politics, power, and greed in America
Date: November 16 2012 8:00pm Location: Evans Hall - Evans Auditorium
Lewis & Clark College musical theatre workshop will present an evening of satire about American politics from the 1930’s to the present day with songs from musicals including “Mr. President” by Irving Berlin to political comedy written in the past ten years. We will explore the role of power and money in the making of a politician through song and dance. No one escapes scrutiny in this fun evening which will be a post-mortum on the Presidential election of November 6.
Admission is free and open to the public.
The show features: Eddie Barksdale, Oren Kreps, Mitch Kroener, Ted Jacks, Grace Levee and Iris Shanks.
Susan McBerry directs; Glenn Goodfellow is at the keyboard, and Sara Martins is the choreographer. Guest coaching by Portland actress, Chrisse Roccaro.
