Third Angle performs Views from Cascadia
Called “one of the most original musical thinkers of the new century” (Alex Ross, The New Yorker), John Luther Adams is a composer whose life and work are deeply rooted in the natural world. Third Angle presents Adams’ masterpiece, “Earth and the Great Weather”, a concert-length work the composer describes as “…a journey through the physical, cultural and spiritual landscapes of the Arctic, in music, language, and sound…”.
The Third Angle New Music Ensemble maintains a revolving roster of distinguished guest artists. These rosters are comprised of the best players from the top performing institutions in Portland, including the Oregon Symphony, Portland Opera, Florestan Trio, and Chamber Music Northwest.
