Celestial Connections - Portland Chamber Orchestra

Portland Chamber Orchestra
The opening concert of the season features the world premiere of “Dance with the Universe,” a new organ concerto by Jan Jirasek, a Czech composer who is known for his classical compositions and film scoring. Internationally acclaimed organist Juergen Essl will also perform Haydn’s Organ Concerto No. 3 in F Major. Following the intermission, the Orchestra will perform Mozart’s Symphony No.41 in C major, K 551 also known as the “Jupiter” Symphony.
