SPAN 101 - Beginning Spanish I
Taught by: Laura Mulas
Content: Basic vocabulary and structural patterns of Spanish. Present and past tenses. Aspects of Hispanic culture. Practice in using the language: oral comprehension and development of skills in speaking, reading, writing Spanish. Interactive learning center for individual student practice.
Prerequisite: None. Must be taken in sequence.

SPAN 102 - Beginning Spanish II
Taught by: Mariela R Rivas
Content: Continued study of basic vocabulary and structural patterns of Spanish. Present and past tenses. Aspects of Hispanic culture. Practice in using the language: oral comprehension and development of skills in speaking, reading, writing Spanish. Interactive learning center for individual student practice.
Prerequisite: 101 or placement exam
Semester Credits: 4
Meeting Times: MTWTh 1:20-3:20 p.m.
SPAN 201 - Intermediate Spanish I
Taught by: Mariela R Rivas
Content: Study of grammar, vocabulary, culture, and civilization. All verb tenses and moods, including the subjunctive. Drills and activities to develop conversational skills. Short compositions and group presentations based on selected cultural readings. Interactive learning center for student practice.
Prerequisite: Spanish 102, or placement exam. Must be taken in sequence.
Semester Credits: 4
Meeting Times: MTWTh 9:00-11:00 a.m.
Note: This course satisfies the Foreign Language General Education requirement.
