Founded in memory of Dorothy Berkson, professor emerita of English, this award is sponsored by the Gender Studies Program and recognizes literary achievement (e.g. scholarly essays, research projects, creative non-fiction, fiction, poetry, or play writing) focused in gender and written by a senior.  A modest monetary prize accompanies the award.
