This year’s SpiderFest, held in the lab of Assistant Professor of Biology Greta Binford, drew about 100 people of all ages from throughout the community. The event featured demonstrations of venom “milking” and spiders camouflaging themselves with sand, as well as science-themed games and treats. -

Autumn presented as part of Oregon Museum of Science and Industry Science Pub, a monthly event designed for a general adult audience to learn about advances in science and technology from leading researchers and scientists in an approachable, relaxed setting that includes food and drinks.
