Am I graduating?
Check with the the undergraduate registrar’s office.
Do I have to pay for my cap and gown?
Your cap and gown are free, and will be ordered automatically from your degree application.
Where do I pick up my cap and gown?
Cap and Gowns can be picked up at the Council Chamber (Templeton) on Thursday and Friday, May 7th-8th, 10am-4pm.
Do I need tickets for commencement?
Yes. Tickets will be unlimited and available to reserve coming soon.
How do I get a wheelchair/special accommodation?
Reserve tickets here and then complete the special accommodation for which can be found here.
What do the tassels and ribbons mean, and where do I get them?
Gold cords for those who have served as resident advisors/student life interns; Silver for ASLC/ISLC/SAAB; Orange for Athletics; Light Blue Cords for completing Passport to Leadership; White for Student Media, and Royal Blue for Student Alumni Association. Eligible seniors will either receive an email from the respective offices or will receive the cords/tassel with their cap and gown. Those who have studied abroad through an LC-sponsored program will also receive ribbons from the Overseas Office.
Where do I go the day of commencement?
Students need to be present for lineup at 1pm at the VETERANS MEMORIAL COLISEUM in the ROSE QUARTER AREA.
Who is my commencement speaker?
The 2020 Commencement speaker is yet to be announced.
When does commencement end?
Approximately 4:00pm.
When do I receive my diploma?
The Registrar will mail diplomas after final grades are posted and student accounts are cleared (approximately two weeks after commencement).
Undergraduate Commencement is located in the second floor of Fowler Student Center on the Undergraduate Campus.
