What kind of hobbies or special activities do you enjoy outside of work?
For quiet times, I enjoy listening to music, especially jazz, observing nature, and art. All other times, I thoroughly enjoy most anything that provides an adrenalin rush: driving my car on an open road, sky diving, roller coasters.
What were your childhood goals/aspirations?
I come from a very modest background being the first in my family to attend college. My goal was simply to become a teacher and to inspire others to pursue excellence.
What are you listening to in your car right now?
Maurice Brown’s The Cycle of Love. He has this one track called “Time Tick Tock” that is absolutely amazing.
What was your favorite childhood story?
Jubilee by Margaret Walker.
