Computational Science Graduate Fellowship
The Department of Energy Computational Science Graduate Fellowship (DOE CSGF) program provides outstanding benefits and opportunities to students pursuing doctoral degrees in fields of study that utilize high performance computing to solve complex problems in science and engineering. The fellowship includes a 12-week research experience at one of 17 DOE laboratories.
The DOE CSGF has supported more than 250 students at over 50 universities. Benefits to fellows include: $36,000 yearly stipend; payment of all tuition and fees; yearly conferences; $1,000 yearly academic allowance, $5,000 in first year; 12-week research practicum with the possibility of renewal for up to four years.
Eligibility: Applicants must be undergraduate seniors or in their first/second year of graduate study. Applications must be pursuing research in computational science and the elected program must provide background in a scientific or engineering discipline, computer science, and applied mathematics.
Deadline: All materials must be submitted by January 8 2013, but check the website for suggested deadlines for specific requirements.
